Law: As of Oct. 2008, a food handler registration is required for any Food Enterprise employee who works with unpackaged food, food equipment, food contact surfaces, or food utensils In the City of Austin. Workers must show proof of required training to be registered. Schedule: Safe Food 4 U specializes in private on-site plus regularly scheduled food handler classes. Classes are approximately 1.5 hrs in English or Spanish. A Food Handler Certificate is awarded directly after class.
